Spring has come and summer is near so cool down with the Zoku Quick Pop Maker and Social Media kit! Thanks to our friends at Zoku, we were given the opportunity to put this little machine to the test with the help of Alynna, age 8, and Julia, age 4. Finding ingredients for the Zoku Quick Pop Maker was easy and convenient and we had most of what we needed already in the fridge! All you need is juice and some of your little ones favorite fruits. We gathered orange juice and fruit juice for the base of the popsicles and sliced up mangos, bananas, strawberries, and apples.
The portability of the Zoku Quick Pop Maker allowed for us to complete the entire process outdoors, which means… no mess in the house (whew!) This light weight machine requires no electricity and does not have any cords, so it can be used virtually anywhere. Be sure to freeze your Zoku Quick Maker an entire 24 hours before use.
The Social Media Kit fits perfectly with the Pop Maker and is extremely easy to use! The step-by-step instructions are clear to follow and require little time. The Social Media Kit comes with 49 stencils, 1 pusher, 1 faceplate and a stand, all conveniently stored in a compact container. Upon opening, we punched out all the stencils and allowed the girls to design their popsicle using the provided face plates. Like a cookie cutter, the stencils are pressed into the fruit slices and the pusher tool is used to help release the fruit from the stencil and maintain the desired shape!
1. The thinner slices of fruits tend to stick quicker to the popsicle stick.
2. Try not to have the fruits touch the side of the tray. It may be difficult to move them.
3. Apples seemed to work best for us when using the Social Media Kit stencils.
Once they gathered all their pieces, the girls creatively arranged them onto each face plate. I assisted in loading each face plate into the Pop Maker. It only takes seconds for the fruit to adhere to the sides of the trays. Once the fruit is inserted, the face plate is removed, and the juice is poured to the fill line. In just 6-7 minutes, the popsicles were ready! This gave us just enough time in between to come up with designs for the next round of popsicles. Unlike most activities, the girls were attentive the entire time. The short duration of the process makes for less distractions and easy management!
Unlike other popsicle makers, pulling them out of the tray wasn’t difficult. The girls gave them a little wiggle and they came out clean and looking delicious. The best part was the end result. Not only did they taste great (I had some myself) but the girls felt proud that they made their very own popsicles!
Clean up is just as easy. All the extra ingredients were brought inside and The Zoku Quick Pop Maker was left to completely defrost before being rinsed out. The stencils are easily washed and placed back into their container. The girls gobbled up their healthy treats and had a blast making them. If youʼre looking for a fun way to cool down this summer, the Zoku Social Media Kit is the perfect accessory to the Zoku Quick Pop Maker!
